Pontos Fortes: Very fast, easy to assemble, easy to clean, versatile
Pontos Fracos: Very noisy, a little awkward to use, kind of messy with vegetable shredding
Resumo: For shredding cheese or chopping nuts, this machine is great. That's what I wanted it for, and it does that better than anything else I've tried. It's much better than a food processor for small amounts, and it cleans up easily and quickly.
For slicing veggies I was less impressed. There's a lot more waste than with a knife. Also, I like my veggies chunky, and even the thicker slicer cuts them too thin for my tastes. The ripple cutter would be good for making chips, though.
It's also a bit awkward to use, though my technique might improve over time. It takes two hands--one to hold the unit and one to press the food pusher down--and so it's hard to also hold the bowl or pan you're aiming at.
It's very loud. And the harder you push on the pusher (to move food down or to get thicker slices), the louder it whines. I use ear plugs when I'm running it.
But I'm still very happy with it for my needs.
